I am from Overland Park, Kansas and the people there would probably be about a 5 in happiness. A lot of people there are more worried about getting pleasure from material goods (cars, house, clothes,etc..) rather than spiritual. Material goods give people a sudden boost in happiness, but after a few days they forget about what they just got and are back to being jealous of others goods. People who are truly happy can be that way without having but the very necessities. They are religious and God can help them with their lives and will have a smile with things not going their way. They also are very close to their family and friends and they can do stuff with them to satisfy themselves and use them to have someone to talk to that can cheer them up and keep them HAPPY!

  1. In my home town we had the same thing everyone wanted to get the new thing that was out and if you did not get people were jealous and kept arguing about it.

  2. Sounds like a very flashy place. It also seems that people are really nice there though. Having nice people in a community makes living there a lot easier.

  3. Michael, I think that is kind of true about my hometown as well. In my town, you are pretty much only important if you have a certain last name and it is usually based on the material things. At least you understand what things really constitute true happiness though.

  4. This sounds similar to my town. Lots of people searching for happiness in the wrong places. Its good to hear you have a good head on your shoulders.
